Teaching Opportunities
Baylor University is nationally known for its commitment to teaching excellence and the quality of undergraduate instruction. The same commitment to teaching is seen in the Ph.D. Program in Psychology. All students will be expected to serve as Teaching Assistants for courses offered at the undergraduate level. TA's are expected to conduct the classes exactly as they would if they were full-time faculty. Furthermore, senior students are routinely asked to deliver lectures to various undergraduate courses. Finally, once a doctoral student has been awarded the MA, they become eligible to teach regular undergraduate courses as Visiting Lecturers and are paid by the University accordingly.
