Psychology Clinic FAQs

1. How do I make an appointment?

Please contact the clinic at 254-710-2470.  After completing a no cost phone intake interview, case will be reviewed with a licensed psychologist and if accepted, client will be put on waitlist.

2. How do I find out more information or submit a provider's referral?

You can call 254-710-2470 for more information or complete an intake. Referrals from physicians or other providers may be faxed to 254-757-0627. Please note: A release of information signed by the client is required for all faxed referrals.

3. How long on average will I be on the waitlist?

Our waitlist for therapy and assessments can vary depending on clinician and faculty supervisor availability.

4. Do you have walk-in hours?

We are unable to accept walk-ins. Please call the clinic at 254-710-2470 to schedule an appointment.

5. How much are therapy sessions?

Therapy services are provided on a sliding scale fee based on income. Depending on income, therapy fees range from $5 to $35 per session.

6. Are there payment plans available for assessments?

The fee for an assessment is $500. A deposit of $100 is due at the initial appointment. Different payment plans for the balance are available upon request.

7. Do you accept Health Savings Account cards?

We do not accept HSA cards.

8. Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance.  Unfortunately, most insurance companies will not reimburse services provided by trainees.  You are encouraged to contact your insurance company for policies.  If your insurance will cover costs, we will provide you with a statement to file with your insurance company.  Reduced fees are not available for those seeking reimbursement.

9. Can I make an appointment for my college student or adult child?

As a clinic that serves the public, we are HIPAA compliant. This means that clients 18 and over must call for their own intake and appointments. Clients must also sign a release form if they want information provided to someone other than themselves.

10. Do you provide assessments and therapy in the summer?

Yes, the clinic is open year-round with normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The clinic is closed when Baylor University is closed.
