Academic Interests and Research
Academic Interests, research or area of specialization: Cognitive Neuroscience. My research focuses on brain waves called alpha oscillations and how they support attention and memory processes.
Representative Publications:
Forner-Phillips, N.A., Brown, J.E., Silck, B.M., & Ross, R.S. (2021). Alpha oscillatory power decreases are associated with better memory for higher valued information. Cognitive Neuroscience, 13(2), 87-98
Forner-Phillips, N.A., Mills, C., & Ross, R.S. (2020). Tendency to ruminate and anxiety are associated with altered alpha and beta oscillatory power dynamics during memory for contextual details. Cognitive, Affective, and Behavioral Neuroscience, 20, 698-716.
