Jim H. Patton Scholarship in Neuroscience

The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is pleased to announce the creation of the Jim H. Patton Scholarship in Neuroscience, which will be awarded each spring to rising senior neuroscience student. This scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Jim H. Patton, who was a Baylor faculty member in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience from 1980 until 2018. During his career, Dr. Patton served as department chair from 1992 to 2004 and served several terms on the Faculty Senate, including as chair from 2004-2005 and 2013-2014. In 2005, he received the W.R. White Meritorious Service Award, which honors individuals who have rendered outstanding service to Baylor. Dr. Patton was first-rate scholar, a wonderful mentor, and a dedicated classroom instructor.
