The Assessment Process
A few questions that can be answered by an assessment include:
- Do I have ADHD?
- Do I have a learning disorder?
- Why is my child having behavioral issues at home and school?
- Does my child have autism?
A detailed interview of your history is taken to understand your concerns and background.
Testing may include psychological testing, IQ testing, and/or achievement testing to answer the assessment question.
Several weekly appointments (e.g., 5–8 testing sessions) lasting a few hours each.
An integrated psychological report and recommendations will be provided at the end of testing.
Your assessment clinician will meet with you privately to go over the assessment results, provide recommendations, and answer any questions you might have.
If our agency recommends therapy services, the client can request they be initiated following the assessment.
Assessment helps us understand your unique needs so we can provide the right recommendations and support for you. If you're interested in assessment services, the first step is to schedule a phone screening to determine the best path forward.
