Biography
Dr. Dejeux joined Baylor in 2021 as a graduate student and earned her Ph.D. in 2026. Dr. Dejeux is currently a 2026-27 Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow. She will be teaching Learning & Behavior and Research Methods during the fall semester.
Academic Interests
Dr. Dejeux’s research interests center around the neurobiology of reward seeking and drug use. As a master’s student, she used fast-scan cyclic voltammetry to investigate the role of dopamine during early Pavlovian learning. She spent her first two years at Baylor studying intermittent sucrose consumption and the effects of alcohol drinking on stress responses in mice. Her dissertation work focused on using histochemical techniques to explore potential relationships between fentanyl use, perineuronal nets, and PV+ interneurons. She is currently interested in expanding her understanding of pedagogy and implementing new teaching techniques in her classroom.
